This is a great all natural lip (this started out as a lip scrub, but i have been using it as a body scrub and it works great!) all over scrub. Takes minutes to make. It tastes great and works really well.

This is a great all natural lip (this started out as a lip scrub, but i have been using it as a body scrub and it works great!) all over scrub. Takes minutes to make. It tastes great and works really well.

You will need:

1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 TBSP of Coconut Oil (in its liquid state) You can also use olive oil if you prefer.
1 TBSP of natural honey (100% honey)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 TBSP Vanilla sugar (or plain white sugar)
Spoon
Small container with lid

Mix the brown sugar, coconut oil and honey in the bowl till the sugar looks wet (like wet beach sand).

Add a the vanilla extract and mix it with the above ingredients.

Mix in the vanilla or white sugar till its all dark

Scoop it in to your small container with lid for storage.

To use on lips:

Pinch a very small amount out with your fingers, put your lips together in a pucker and rub in the crack (don't laugh, I couldn't figure out a better way to describe it). Don't be afraid if you get it in your mouth as its totally edible. Moosh your lips together like you do when applying lipstick, and dab off with a damp cloth, or hey lick it off, It taste great!!

Your lips with be so smooth! Made from things most of us have laying around the house!!

To use as a body scrub:

Wet your skin in the bath or shower, scoop out a little at a time and apply to arms and legs and rub vigorously. Be careful not to rub till you do yourself an injury. We are going for glowing skin, no abrasions. Rinse off with warm water.

I have often worried about body scrubs leaving the tub greasy or slippery, but I have not found that to be a problem with this particular recipe.

TIP: After rinsing it off of your legs, lather those stems up and give them a shave!! It will be the smoothest shave you've ever had. I notice the smooth legs last a bit longer too ( glowing smooth skin, two reasons to give this a whirl).

Enjoy!!

NOTE:
Vanilla sugar is a staple in our house as my husband, as handy as he is with computers, is a chef by trade. He simply keeps a canister with white granulated sugar in it and deposits the vanilla bean pods after he has scraped them, and overtime the flavor makes its way into the sugar. It adds a fantastic vanilla flavor for when he bakes deserts or creme brûlée and now I have found it useful in my No Poo journey.
