Clove Vanilla Body Spray

I have been looking for a scent for a while that's not over bearing but is soft and sensual. I have made sprays with vodka and vanilla, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

Tonight my reading found a nice combination of scents, but instead of water or vodka it called for almond oil which I do not have. I tend to go to coconut oil for everything from hair to skin. So I thought I would give it a try and see how it worked out.

Tonight my reading found a nice combination of scents, but instead of water or vodka it called for almond oil which I do not have. I tend to go to coconut oil for everything from hair to skin. So I thought I would give it a try and see how it worked out.

I used:

1/4 cup of coconut oil
1 tsp of vanilla extract (without corn syrup)
3 drops of clove oil
Small spray bottle

I added the coconut oil first, my bottle was a little small so I used just under 1/4 cup.

Then I added my vanilla. I started with a 1/2 tsp, put the lid on the bottle and gave it a good shake. I wasn't getting the vanilla smell I wanted, so I added another 1/2 tsp. It's really a personal preference on how strong you want the smell.

Then I added 1 drop of clove oil at a time. Putting the lid on the bottle giving it a shake and a sniff until I got the aroma I was going for. My magic number of drops was 3.

I took my bath (using the Vanilla Lip and Body Scrub), towel dried, and gave my arms and legs a spritz. It smells really nice, and it feels great. The coconut oil is so nice on the skin and the fragrance is very light, but it lingers, which is great.

The benefits of a body spray, accompanied by the silky smooth feeling of coconut oil. I am in heaven.

Be careful with clove oil. It's very strong, to much, or applying it directly on the skin could be to over powering or irritating to the skin.
