No Heat Curls using Flexirods

I got flexirods for my birthday and I could not wait to try them.

I have straight, thick hair that NEVER holds curl!! EVER!! No matter how much mousse, hair spray, gel I put in, it never holds. Living in Florida where it's humid also does not help!! But I wanted to give these a try.

I got them for my birthday (thanks again mom & dad) in two sizes. I rushed home and opened them up. And gave them a twirl!!

Here's what I did and I started with dry (DRY) hair. You cannot do this when it's wet because it wont dry in the rollers as they are not made to absorb water. So I had washed my hair that morning and I did this that night before I went to bed.

I sectioned my hair as I went. No method, just willy nilly!!
I lightly dampened the section of hair (I do mean LIGHTLY)
I started the flexirod at the highest point to start rolling. I wanted more beachy waves, so I started half way up the length.
I twisted the hair around the rod trying to keep it flat along the rod.
I folded the ends over to hold the rod and hair in place.
I slept in them. They are not terribly uncomfortable to sleep in and they stay in place very well. I have read that you can do this by following this method, but leave them in two to four hours and then unroll. I have not tried that yet. But I will soon!!
Woke up in the morning, unrolled them and looked like Shirley Temple. Not a great look when your 40!!
I ran my fingers thru the curls to break them up and HOLY C?@9, they looked Uh-mazing!!!!!

Day One:
Curls lasted all day and looked great!!

Day Two:
Looked better than day one. Still very wavy, lots of curl and lots of body.

Day Three:
Still looked fantastic!! But I got heavy handed with the coconut oil so I had to wash it.

This process is so easy, and the results really last. I hate spending time burning myself and my hair with hot rollers and curling irons, only to have my hair flat again in two hours, but not with flexirods.

It's fast, easy and you get great results!!

The rods are fairly inexpensive and they work great!! If you get the chance give them a try!!
